Head of School

Mr. Andrew Harrison

Andrew joined St. Andrews, Green Valley as Head of School in 2005. This is his second time working in Thailand as he was at Bangkok Patana school in the mid 1990s. In a career that has now spanned five International schools in four countries (Ethiopia, Thailand, Malawi and Tanzania), Andrew has taught at all age levels within the school, occupied numerous senior managerial roles, as well as being a Head of School. Before embarking on his international career, he taught in the UK, both in schools and in Outdoor Education centres. As well as being Head of School, Andrew is also proud to be a parent at the school, with two children in the Primary school.

Assistant to Head of School/IB Coordinator

Mr. Kevin McGee

Kevin joined St. Andrew’s in August 2010 after 11 years working at two other international schools in Thailand with seven years as an Assistant Principal. Away from the classroom Kevin enjoys playing and watching sport as well as cooking and traveling. He is joined at St. Andrew’s by his wife and two children who both attend the school.

 

Head of Secondary School

Neil Wrightson

Neil Joined St. Andrews in 2006 after spearheading the successful introduction of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at his previous school in Qatar. After graduating from university in the UK, he taught for a few years in England before he moving abroad to teach. His passion for international education is reflected in the fact that St. Andrews is his 9th international school, having taught in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and now Asia.

Key Stage Three Coordinator

Andrew Emery

Andy comes from Blackpool in the UK. He graduated with a BA (Hons) degree from Salford University and has taught Geography in the England for 7 years. As well as teaching Geography he was also the Progress Manager (Head of Year 8) for 180 students at the school. This is his first experience of teaching in an International School and he is enjoying being part of our school community in Thailand. 

 

Head of Primary School

Simon Mc Closkey

Simon is from Devon in the UK and has been teaching across the primary age range for the past 14 years. Before becoming an international primary teacher, Simon taught in the UK. He has experience of teaching and coordinating both the UK National Curriculum and International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. He has previously been the Head Teacher of two international primary schools in Tanzania and Malawi. Simon joined St. Andrews in 2009 and has two sons that both attend the primary school.  

Deputy Head of Primary

Oanh Crouch

Oanh was born in Vietnam but has lived in Australia since the age of four. She graduated with first class honours with a Bachelor of Education degree, specialising in Primary Education, from Newcastle University. Her Master of Education degree focuses on the concept of creating professional learning communities in schools. She has 14 years’ teaching experience with 2-11 year olds, and has worked in Australia, Finland and England. Oanh currently teaches EAL and coordinates the upper primary phase. Her son is in the Reception Class at St. Andrews.

Early Years Coordinator

Jane Thompson

Born in Guernsey UK, Jane spent her childhood in the Channel Islands, Cornwall and Canada. She returned to the UK to graduate with B.A. Hons. in Linguistics and Physical Education and completed her PGCE. Jane worked as a Primary teacher in Cornwall for ten years and became a Deputy Head. She spent eight years working for Shell International Schools in Nigeria. Jane has experience teaching and coordinating both the UK Curriculum and the International Primary Curriculum. She joined the team at St. Andrews in 2007 to teach Kindergarten.
