Extra-Curricular Activities
St. Andrews International School, Green Valley has an energy filled ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities) programme that offers a wide variety of activities from Basketball, Polo and Cricket to Choir, Model United Nations and Scuba Diving, to name but a few. The programme is designed to cater to our students’ different and diverse needs.
In keeping with the St. Andrews philosophy of providing a well-rounded education, the extensive Extra-Curricular Programme enables students to participate in activities outside the academic arena. There is always extreme excitement each term as students eagerly check the list of ECAs on our website. There are plenty of terrific opportunities for our students to try something new or to receive expert coaching in the chosen area.
ECAs at St. Andrews are organized by age-appropriate groupings and by areas of Creative, Academic, Physical Activity and Community Service ensuring a good cross section of activities for our students to choose from. Activities are supervised by members of the St. Andrews teaching staff, our parent community, expert coaches and in some instances students assisting the activity leader.
CREATIVE - St. Andrews students who have, or who wish to develop, creative talents have many opportunities in the areas of visual arts, music, theater, and writing. For many students some of the most rewarding and memorable experiences in school come from participation in a new artistic activity.
ACADEMIC - Many of our ECAs help students with study skills, intellectual development, international awareness and academic performance (Model United Nations or math club).
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY - St. Andrews aims to ensure that our students are healthy and active. As members of FOBISSEA (Federation of British International Schools South East Asia) and ESAC (Eastern Seaboard Athletic Conference) we provide our students with many opportunities to participate in a competitive atmosphere against other schools. We also offer many recreational sporting activities.
COMMUNITY SERVICE - Those who become involved at a young age in helping the Community, participating in new activities and working with others on different projects become more well-rounded, confident and enriched by their experiences. This aids in becoming a successful, motivated, mature person when going out into the adult world, where many choices will be available to them.
